"Service going downhill"A review of HSBC Bank by Ellen - Tuesday 1st of July 2003Advertisements
Service at the central Cambridge branch on Market Hill is definitely going downhill. Counter service now seems to be a low priority. There are now fewer service points - about 4 - and there are usually only 2 of them open. There are always massive queues and while standing in the queue one has plenty of time to read all the 'negative' notices on display telling customers that various services have been cut back or taken away altogether. All the leaflets seem to be for small business customers or those seeking a mortgage. What about those of us who just want ordinary banking services over the counter? And then there's what they have done on Saturdays... We need counter service on Saturdays! I work in a Library and we have just extended our Saturday opening. Get with the programme HSBC - customers want to speak to their banks face to face and some of us don't want to be standing by a hole in the wall when we get £100 or more out of the bank. |
