"Not cheap, but the best food in cambridge"
A review of The Peking Restaurant by Shubha - Friday 19th of September 2008
I have been going to Peking for fifteen years now. It is quite simply the most exciting as well as the most comforting food in town - a combination hard to achieve. It is not cheap, but the portions are huge, and if you go in a group, it works out at a very reasonable price. Going alone or as a two-some is trickier, because you cant order that many dishes, given the portions, but they do give you doggy bags. It has a personal touch - Tsiang, who runs the place, and Michael who cooks the food (they own the place) run it like a family restaurant, and will offer guidance if you want it and tell you what is freshest on the menu. A warm, ever-welcoming place for truly top-notch Chinese food. Shame they are moving to a different venue: I liked the basic decor of the little place on Burleigh Street.
