This has come from my area manager friend. The store manager who departed suddenly from the company is seeking redress through an industrial tribunal. I can't say why at the moment because by doing so would identify my friend. The company is still asking customers to pay the full amount up front. Many customers are refusing to pay. This is causing big problems, especially when DFS are offering 4 years free credit and nothing to pay for the first year.
My friend told me that the company supplying curtains to be sold at Sofa Workshop is now considering pulling out. People haven't bought in large enough numbers, in fact my friend said that curtain sales have been dismal. She said it was a mistake to put curtains in the stores anyway, but the sales people at head office wouldn't listen to her suggestions.
