"To the shoplifter"A review of HMV by Ali - Saturday 15th of November 2008Advertisements
To the shoplifter; no you cannot be prosecuted for something for which you have been cautioned so no more sleepless nights. Unfortunately for you, to work in any profession where you have contact with vulnerable adults or children who will have to agree to a criminal record check where your caution will come up. You will therefore have to get used to writing it on your applications with an explanation of how you came to get it. It won't bar you from work but if I have 8 interview slots and 9 good applicants but one has a conviction/caution I will usually exclude them- unless there is exceptional reason to consider them or it was a long time ago and they have been provably of subsequent good character. |
