"Worst service we have ever had!"

We booked a table for 15-18 over a week ago. When we tried to re-confirm our booking with 2 days to go, no answer on the phone, then when we did finally get through (the evening we were due to eat) we were put on hold whilst they checked the booking.... 12 minutes later and a load of overheard banter between the staff we decided to hang up and risk going anyway.

When we arrived were were sat down and left for about 15 minutes with nothing said. We asked to order drinks and 5 minutes later, were being asked what we wanted. 'Can I have a Vodka and coke?'
Saying yes then just supplying a coke, same with the lemonade and Lime, JD and Coke and believe it or not, a pineapple juice.

Not a good start.

The food order was quick enough but for the food to arrive took over an hour and a half! We had ordered a Vegetable Vindaloo and they came out asking what that was?!? 'we don't do that' So we asked for a HOT vegetable curry.

When the food came out, they brought out the food in such a strange order. Main, then Chappati, then rice. I got my curry, then they bought out 4 other currys, 3 sides, 2 other people rice, THEN my rice. 3 trips later for my Chappati. (all after over an hour of waiting). From the first person to get their food to the last took 20 minutes. 4 of the courses were wrong and an extra 2 meals added to the bill! 2 times they brought the menus over to check what things were that people had ordered!

We didnt get any Onion Bhajis despite 4 people odering some and no Nan bread. A lamb Vindaloo was dropped on the floor (but we had ordered a Lamb Stew)Instead of just writing down peoples orders, he should have queried what we asked for.

This was a 30th wedding anniversary meal, booked a week in advance, their excuse for such poor service? It was a big booking! If you can't cater for it, dont book it. I would hate to see what happens when the place was busy, heres the thing, we were the only people in there!

The food itself was excellent and the menu was very traditional.

We should have been in and out in a couple of hours, instead we arrived at 7:30, we left at 10:20!

Worst place I've eaten out in years.
