"Uncommunicative Aldi"

I have just read the review and totally agree. My gripe is loosely conected with Aldis uncommunicative policy.Why is it that they do not keep the phone numbers of other local Aldi stores? Example, I go to buy an item, such as a power tool, only to find out that they have run out. Fair enough at ANY other store as they would be able to ring around and,one would expect,find the nearest branch for your convenience. But not Aldi. I could not understand why a business would effectively,fail to help you make that purchase and secure a sale(especally in this ecconomic climate)
