I was reading the reviews on this company as it is a nightmare to deal with. I am doing a masters in Journalism and am investigating debt collection for my thesis. The company comes up again and again.... you say there are two types of customer one who is re building and pays every month on time and the others are bludgers who get what they deserve. Have you considered, the single parents who make arrangements, expect maintenance payments that never arrive, the self employed builder who has fallen down a ladder, the young family who finds themselves with a terminally ill child, do these circumstances factor into your ignorance, or perhaps the man dying of asbestosis that didn't know he has it when he took out his load, what about the wife of a TA soldier whose husband is away fighting for his country and she is left struggling to organise the family finance, or recently the people who work for companies that just simply close and don't receive their last wages. Many many many people dont ask to be left in bad financial positions you make it sound like a choice for so many it is not. How dare you judge everyone? This industry is rife with abuse, and it takes advantage of the vulnerable. Many of the people who take out loans with welcome have no idea that they dont have to take the PPI or the other high value insurances, and i know as i have investigated that they certainly don't tell anyone that they have the right to take out the PPI with anyone else. Take a step back and Imagine how frightening these collections people are too some of the people I mentioned above and get off your high horse. It is an industry that needs much tighter scrutiny. You know it and I know it. |
