"Good work, poor customer service."
A review of Two Ticks Watch Services by Eb - Friday 16th of October 2009
I was given a beautiful silver necklace as a gift but wanted the chain extended. Because of the design, a simple "extender" chain would not have done the job. I took it into the guys at Two Ticks to get a quote. They got back to me within a week which wasn't bad at all. The £51 quote was quite reasonable so I gave the work the go ahead. The extension itself was done beautifully, no problems with that at all. However, the silver pendant is now covered in scratches. I bought the issue up with the guy in store but he was less than helpful. I assured him the necklace was brand new, not a sratch on it when I bought it in, but he wasn't listening and proceeded to give me every excuse possible to cover their backsides. The remotely helpful thing he said was that they could send it back to their workshop (another two week wait) and see if they could polish out the scratches... and charge me... to correct their fault! So yes, although the workshop do do amazing work, you run the risk of your belongings being damaged and the customer service instore is shoddy.
