"Bird In Hand under new management"
A review of Bird In Hand by Kate Howell - Monday 25th of January 2010
Hello everyone, this is just a quick note to let you all know that the Bird In Hand has now been taken over by my husband Wayne and myself (Kate), we have taken over from Steve Freathy who you all know and love who has unfortunately had to give up the Bird due to a very nasty assault in the latter part of last year which has unfortunately rendered him unfit to work, so we wish him well and a speedy recovery and thank him for establishing the Bird well within the Gay community. We are currently in the midst of refurbishment, ready for our grand opening on the 12th of February. We have two fantastic and very enthusiastic new managers, Craig and his partner Craig who are very well liked and respected within the gay community and who we have no doubt will continue to drive the Bird In Hand onwards and upwards, we feel that this is a very exciting time in the Bird's history and think this is the start of a new era. Together with the Craig's we plan to re-introduce food to the Bird with some great sharing platters, and along with our fantastic new wine list there should be something to suit all tastes. We have a some great entertainment lined up and all manner of activities planned for this wonderful new venture, and rest assured that the Bird In Hand will be a fun and welcoming venue for anyone and everyone. We look forward to seeing you on the 12th.
