"Cheese through the Hoops."

A review of The Cambridge Cheese Company by Allan Challis written on Saturday 30th of January 2010

Some of the customers at The Hoops P/H Barton Cambs. decided to have a cheese night on a regular basis. I offered to set up the first evening and went along to The Cambridge Cheese Company to find three cheeses for the evening. Assisted by the proprieter I selected:-

Isle of Mull Cheddar (A strong Cheddar with a distinctive bite)

Colston Bassett Stilton (there are only six dairies producing stilton and this is the smallest)

Perroche ( A soft herb coated goats cheese from Neal's Yard Dairy Herefordshire)

I was impressed by the knowledge and customer friendly service. At the tasting everyone was impressed with the quality and condition of the cheeses. This will now be a regular event at The Hoops on the last Thursday in the month. Customers have pledged to bring along their own selection. I shall certainly return to The Cambridge Cheese Company in February and intend to provide three French Cheeses, this time, as my contribution. We hope that it becomes a regular feature at The Hoops.
