"Not impressed with Coco"A review of Coco by Jazz - Tuesday 18th of March 2003Advertisements
I went to Coco for a friend's birthday and really didn't like the layout of the place. Although Coco revel in advertising their club as the 'biggest night club in Cambridge' (like that's some major achievement), in fact that is misleading. Coco 'feels' small and cramped - the dance area is also very small. It may be bigger in total size than Fifth Avenue or Life, but then it has three floors (all of which are small and cramped). Fifth Avenue and Life are much better laid out than Coco, basically because they are on one spacious floor. In terms of clientel, when I went there, it was mainly drunk depressed looking blokes standing around the dance floor drinking. I haven't been back to Coco since, and have little desire to. Some of my firends have been back since, and usually end up leaving pretty soon. Although I have compared Coco to Fifth Avenue and Life, I wouldn't recommend any of these places. For a good night out, the Junction is the best venue/ night club in Cambridge. It is also considerably cheaper to get in. 'Nuff said. |
