A review of Aldi by Margaret Tucker written on Saturday 19th of June 2010
For years my cats, all moggies, have eaten Aldi's 'Vita Cat Special Breed Healthy Balance Rich in Chicken' cat biscuits and no other make of cat biscuit. A year or so ago, the many varieties of these biscuits were reduced to three and the size (and cost) of the pack increased. Still, I felt my cats were worth the extra.
However Aldi have now decided that they are only going to sell 'Active Adult' and 'Over 7 years' varieties. Why?
Lately, when I have gone into an Aldi Store (the nearest is 15 miles away and, as a pensioner, cannot afford to visit them more than once a week), I have looked for my cats' favourites but, out of each full case, only two were what I wanted and for the past two weeks have not been able to obtain any as the cases have all been 'gone through' by people who, like me, can't get the product they want.
I understand that Aldi has a policy whereby store managers are not permitted to pass on customer complaints to Head Office or anywhere else for that matter. Good customer relations? I think not!
