"Re: Review of Millers Music & Ken Stevens"A review of Millers Music Centre & Ken Stevens by Ex-Employee - Wednesday 6th of August 2003Advertisements
Today (06 August) I went into McDonalds to try and buy a Big Mac meal. - The price quotes was £2.99 - when I informed the salesman I could buy this for £2.50 he lost interest and just said the price was £2.99. What is it with people in music and electrical shops that insist on getting discount on everything? I did some time in Ken Stevens and getting the "Would you sell it for..." question 100 times a day would leave you struggling to "keep interest" in the sale. If I'd given discount to every person who asked for it, not only would it have cost me my job, I wasn't earning enough personally to want to spend an hour bartering over every sale. "If I buy three And supporting your local shops involves helping them keep in business - You dont do that by insisting on discount on everything purchased. |
