We travelled from Stowmarket to Cambridge specifically to eat at the Tandoori Palace having read the other reviews on this website. We've lived in East Anglia for ten years now and have eaten in a number of good Indian restaurants but nothing worthy of a review: until now. We had a table booked for 6pm on Saturday evening and even then there were ten other diners in the restaurant. Service was efficient and unobtrusive and the food was freshly prepared and very good indeed. We ordered: lamb bhuna (good); chicken Kashmir (delicious and well spiced); chicken korma (the best George has eaten); chicken biryani (a revelation with a generous portion of sauce on the side); peshweri nan (good) but the surprise star of the show was the simple but ever-so-tasty tarka dhal. We can heartily recommend this restaurant for its service and the excellent quality of the food. I would imagine the more adventurous your order, the more pleasantly surprised you’ll be. |
