"Great traditional pub but avoid Friday nights"
A review of The Green Dragon by Andas - Friday 1st of October 2010One of the oldest pubs in cambridge and thankfully it has retained all of the oak beams etc which make it a little bit special.
Food used to be fantastic but has gone down hill a little since Green King enforced their generic menu on the pub :-(
Staff and landlord are friendly as are the locals. As mentioned in a previous review the grass area opposite the pub is great for having a pint/meal.
If at all possible avoid Friday nights as the local travellers tend to take over half the pub. Not pleasant taking someone for a date and hearing nothing but foul mouth abuse throughout the evening.
