A review of The Bridge by Sally written on Sunday 27th of March 2011
Arrived at 8pm and waited just inside the doorway at the sign to asvise you to wait to be seated. The barman shouted from the bar that someone would be there in a minute. After about 15 mins the waiter asked us what we would like to drink and that took at least 20-25mins to arrive. He then took our food order I asked for th curry with naan bread he said that they have run out of naan bread and went off to check he then said I can have poppudoms which I agreed. My husband ordered steak and chips, with a couple of slices of bread and butter. This took at least 45mins to 1hr to arrive and no appologies. When they brought the food to the table the waitress said that there was curry and I said yes that's mine and still put it down in front of my husband so before she could put the next dinner down I moved the curry towards me. We then had the bread arrive with the dim waitress and said can I have butter please and she seemed quite taken aback that we should want butter with the bread. The curry was nice but not much of it, and my husbands chips were warm only and looked like they had been kept warm somewhere. We will therefore no be goi8ng back again as the service was rubbish as well as the food and as for the staff I am sure there are people crying out for jobs that have more of a personality than the current staff..
