A review of D:Licious Coffee & Sandwich Bar by D:LICIOUS COFFEE BAR written on Saturday 22nd of September 2012

Anonymous2, thank you for your feedback, though if you felt aggrieved at anytime you only have to pop in.

If I can address one point at a time:

- sandwich fillings: we've never knowingly cut back on fillings, in fact when we took over and re-branded we made a conscious effort to increase fillings. Based on feedback these WILL be addressed.

- bacon: we do not have an a3 licence and as such are unable to cook our own bacon (or any hot food). As such we buy in premium back bacon which is pre-cooked. We have to use a microwave to heat it as we have no other facility to do so. Each bacon roll consists of 2 rashers, again this will be addressed to ensure each roll has the correct amount of filling.

- stale roll: all our rolls are supplied daily by a local baker (Barkers) and are freshly cooked to order so no stale rolls should be sold, we will work with Barkers to ensure only the freshest of rolls ar supplied.

- prices: our prices do not have 'outrageous margins'. Being a shop with increased overheads means that we have more expenses to pay than say mobile vans, however we do believe we are very competitive with such vans and have heard that several of our baguettes are indeed far cheaper. In the past year there have been substantial increases to such things as diesel, electricity, insurance and products like prawns, crayfish, tuna and eggs (with some products increasing by upto 60%), despite these increases we have maintained our prices. I'm sorry that you feel our food is overpriced but we believe it to be reasonably so
