"Good food and drink for cheap prices"
A review of Golden Hind by skizz - Saturday 13th of September 2003
It's true that the Golden Hind is not the classiest of pubs, but it offers decent food and drink for good prices. There is plenty of choice both for food and drink and the atmosphere is friendly. The food is the usual pub grub; steak, chips, curry, but there are some vegetarian options. The combo starter is pretty good and if you have the burgers they are huge. The only bad thing is that the menu seems to have a fondness for serving peas with everything and I don't think the staff are used to people ordering puddings! The seating area at the rear of the bar is quiet and comfortable but the outside area is noisy due to the road. Generally good pub for a cheap night out.
