"Fifth Avenue at its best on a monday!!"
A review of Fifth Avenue by ananymous - Tuesday 16th of September 2003
Fifth, well to students in Cambridge it is really known as Filth, due to the fact that your feet stick to the floor as you walk around, and white shoes go home black. But despite this before fifth started being refurbished it was where everyone would be on a Monday night. The people who go there and hate it either go with 1 friend and know no one there, or are expecting London standards from Cambridge, (and lets face it that is never going happen). As I enter I am greeted by the friendly bouncers who I now know by name (hello Anton), all my friends are there and all the familiar faces that regularly attend, you wonder around having a dance with different friendship groups having a proper boogie to the different types of music. We are all pissed from boozing regal style (happy in the knowledge that we have spent little money). I spend the night dancing with my friends smoking out side when it gets to hot, (which is a big bonus) and on occasion there is completions which we take part in, as the evening comes to an end the classic songs are played which everyone knows the words to, your happy and already planning the Friday ahead. The night is ended by going to the chip van and then legging it to the taxi queue- (as you do wanna get home in the next hour!) So despite what people might say I have loved my times it fifth and am looking forward to going there again (and going home with shoes that look as white as they were when I went in)
