"One of the few proper pubs left in town..."

A review of Spread Eagle by Dom written on Tuesday 14th of October 2003

The Spread is one of the few pubs that still feels like a pub - complete with over the top Manager, and friendly bar staff. It's an odd mix of people - from academics to townies, young and old, but it seems to work well. A nice atmosphere, a good pint, and no signs of a brown leather sofa anywhere!.
