"At last, a REAL pub!!!"

A review of The Grapes by Chris - Sunday 26th of October 2003

Very enjoyable indeed, laid back atmosphere with superb food and the landlord keeps a fine cellar.

Incidentally, I always found him to be a very welcoming individual. Never too busy to tell a story or enjoy a joke. Perhaps this Steffen fellow caught him on a bad day.

The pub has plenty of seating and is reasonably priced in all departments. I'm looking forward to seeing if the open fire gets lit in the winter.
