"Rubbish (I have the shake machine answer)"A review of Burger King by Skizz - Thursday 6th of November 2003Advertisements
I used the Burger King in the Grafton on a Thursday lunch time and found the service and food to be appalling. The person on till got my order wrong four times despite me repeating it very slowly. It took 15 mintues to get to the counter in the first place. Having placed my order I then had to wait for a further ten minutes for my food. Guess what I was waiting on, a hamburger! The burgers were all poorly prepared and some were cold. One was out of time (it had been sat in the shute for too long, they are meant to throw them away after 10mins). Having worked in burger king I know the standards they should be working to and belive me this restuarant would fail any internal inspection. The reason that shake machines are always "broken" after a certain time is as follows: most burger kings will only employ 3-4 close staff who have to clean everything in the restuarant before going home and I mean everything. A good close team can do this in half and hour to an hour but a shake machine takes at least that to clean. Most BK's will only pay staff until 11pm but if you are alone working on counter you normally have to clean the dining area, counter and shake machine. Hence most staff clean the shake machine early so that they do not have to work without being paid for it. Well at least you know that they are cleaning it! |
