"Review of The King Street Run"

A review of The King Street Run by Jason - Tuesday 30th of November 1999

The King Street Run is one of Cambridge's classic pubs. While the rest of pubs in the city seem to be gradually getting refurbished and turning into bars, this pub still retains its character.

It gets its name from an old Cambridge tradition: King Street Run - "the feat of consuming in as short a time as possible one pint of beer at every public house in King Street". This is now reputedly much easier than it used to be.

Furniture glued to the ceiling, loud grungy rock music and a dark smokey atmosphere make a refreshing change from the sophisto pubs in the rest of the city centre.
