On my first day in Cambridge, my family which includes my 11 year old brother expectantly went to the Granta hoping for a nice Sunday lunch and a drink or two. However, we were informed that we would have to sit outside to eat because my brother was not old enough to enter the building. I hasten to add it was a cold October afternoon and my brother is not a baby. My dad was disgusted at the prices.
On my second visit to the place, my boyfriend bought two drinks and the single round came to Â£8.50! This was not champagne but a whisky and coke and a alcopop. What a shame, the pub is in a lovely location but the expense and attitude of the staff simply does not make it worth a visit.
