"braindead staff!!"
A review of Game by ihategame - Saturday 13th of December 2003
I went into Cambridge to my local "Game" store on the weekend to buy a copy of the latest Command and Conquerer - Genearals. This being the only reason to my expedition to town I was a bit reluctant to brave the Christmas shoppers and pay ludicrous parking fees just to obtain this one item, but as I really REALLY wanted to play it on my few days off work I thought what the hell and did it. I took the game to the till and was greeted by a "dopey" looking member of staff, who not only took ages to find my game, but when I paid for it on my card he gave me the card back before I had even signed the receipt so had I not been the cardholder I could've quite easily copied the signiture! When I challenged him about this his response was basically it didn't matter!
Anyway, the main thing that really took the pi*s was that when I got the game back to my house, by this time exicited by the thought of an evenings gaming ahead, I opened the case to find the dumb sales assistant had given me 2 completely wrong discs! I now have to go back into town tomorrow, Sunday and go through all the same ordeal again, just for 1 game! and not even have time to play it now for another week! This will be my last visit to Game, where the staff know nothing about the games they sell or the difference between them obviously!!
So basically my advice to all you gamers is: SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE!! It's not worth the hassle dealing with the spanners that work here!
