"Almost tenor boy choristers"A review of Kings College School by John Bentley - Wednesday 24th of December 2003Advertisements
I was a boy chorister myself about 45 years ago and have been listening to Kings every Christmas since they first appeared on TV. Your boy chorister who read the first lesson has such a low voice that surely it is not possible for him to sing the treble range. What is his future in the choir? I can imagine him as a stalwart in your rugby fifteen (or athletics)and a Grade 8 violinist. When I was a teacher King's repeatedly wrote for rugger fixtures. We were never able to accommodate you but perhaps you'll tell me a little of what must be one of your leading choristers. |
