The owner of the Galleria, Kolin Malik was responsible for the Ross Street building disaster that made front page of the Cambridge Evening News a few years ago.

While he was attempting to add a basement to a terraced house, one of the several rundown
properties he rents out to students, so he could add more rooms to it to let out, he managed to knock the neighbours wall down in the process!

He is well known to Cambridge's environmental health department and I can only hope that the standards in his restaurant's kitchen are dramatically higher than in his rented properties, but judging by some of the reviews here, who knows...
