"Complaining git with nothing else to do"
A review of Game by Shop worker - Monday 19th of January 2004
I totally disagree with the comment that the staff are brain dead, they do a great job, they know alot about the lastest new releases and they will always find time to talk to you if you need help. Where else will you find a 10 ten no fuss returns policy? NOT HMV, NOT VIRGIN, NOT DIXONS but they DO AT GAME.
Shop workers do make mistakes it's true,(and this might surprise alot of people) they are not robots, they are humans beings with lifes, and familys to go home to, each night. And with long hours they put in, the shops are now expected to be open 7 days a week, 8-9 hours a day, (could be longer at xmas time), they don't get any thanks from the shoppers who demand the shops open for them every working day and night, so is it really surprising that the staff will at some point make mistakes.
The staff do,however put up with alot of crap from people with no life, and who sit in front of there computer screens 24/7,and no friends. And if you have nothing better to do than to complain about shop workers than you deserve to be called 'BILLY NO MATES' with your sad and uneventful life.
I think not just Cambridge Game, but all shop workers should be given a medal, for the rubbish that they have to deal with and that old saying "The Customer Is Always Right" is crap. The customer is NOT always right. And if anyone truly believes that stupid saying is true, they should work in a shop for at least a week and see if they can put up with the sad, lonely, people with nothing better to do, and see how long they last.
