"Reply to Carol re Kilroy"

A review of British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) by Jackie - Friday 6th of February 2004

Carol I agree with your comments re the Kilroy fiasco 100%. The treatment the BBC dished out to Robert has only served to illustrate that far from being the bastions of fair comment and truth they would have us believe they are, they are toothless and spineless. My admiration for them would have quadrupled if they had come out in support of Robert, host for many years of one of the best discussion programmes on the air. Do they think we are not intelligent enough to know the difference between opinions he aired in his capacity as newspaper columnist and the unbiased stance he must, and always has, taken when hosting televised debates?Whom are they trying to placate?
As far as I can assess from talking to others, most people agree with these sentiments..yes..those very same members of the public for whom the programmes are supposedly made and I for one find their attitude insulting and patronising.
