"Clowns V starbucks"A review of Clowns Cafe by Emma - Wednesday 17th of March 2004Advertisements
There are a few things I agree with and a few things id didnt while reading your report on Clowns V Starbucks, while you are right when you go to starbucks you wait longer to get served and it might cost a few more pence for a drink or even food but once you have everything you need and have found a seat you are left alone to relax and chat to whomever you are with, there is normally a friendly crowd there ranging from children to adults. The staff may not always be smiles in starbucks as they are normally parttime students that work there and thats how it is when you go to many places. When you enter Clowns on the other hand which by the way is a Family run business so the staff will be happy to work with each other as they are sisters but I and many other people i have spoken to find the staff over friendly. They introduce themselfs (fair enough) you sit down and drink your not so pleasant coffee and along comes one of the staff who sits down with you and tells you there life history and if they dont sit with you they sure as hell are sitting with someone near you and boring them. Most people who go there are regulars who are foreign and thats all fine but you can be made to feel very unconfortable if you only want a quite drink. I wont even get started on their food (please) many people really dislike the place and the staff! and its a shame as Clowns is in a ideal place to pop into They certainly DONT get my vote... |
