"Very poor service"

I have been receiving contact lenses from David Clulow for over a year now, and have been less than impressed by the service they offer. I had lost a contact lense and called the store to ask whether I could have a new one.

They asked me to come to the store, then they will give me one, and hastened to mention the price I have to pay for the replacement lense. Because I had lost a contact lense before I knew that they normally have to order them in first. So I asked on the phone if he could check first whether they had them in store. It turns out they don't and have to order them. So if I hadn't asked I would have turned up there only to be told they had to order it in. - Happened more than once.

With my contract you are also supposed to have an annual check-up of your eyes. However, if you don't mention it yourself that you want an appointment, you will not have one. Three months after my check-up was due I went into the store and asked whether it wasn't time for my check-up. I made an appointment, but unfortunately couldn't make it at the time. Consequently, the store stopped my regular contact lenses supply on the basis that I haven't had my annual check-up. - It didn't bother them that the check-up was overdue anyway, they happily continued sending me my lenses before. If I hadn't bothered mentioning anything to them, they would have kept sending me my regular batches.

Wouldn't call it good service when you have to do all the thinking and organising yourself. You can get poor service for cheaper at other stores!
