"Okay for drinking but don't waste your money on the food!"

A review of The Waterside by Tara - Sunday 23rd of May 2004

The food is overpriced and not well cooked; my vegetables were hard, I asked for mash and got greasy 'fast food' chips instead, the pan-fried chicken was bland, and the peppercorn sauce on my husband's steak was tasteless.

The service was pleasant, although it was difficult to get their attention, and they overcharged us.

So no, I won't be going back and I wouldn't recommend anyone else eat there. I have found better food in smaller pubs for under £6.
