"Second hand shoes"

The Neath Branch of Stead and Simpson were unable to supply me with a pair of Dr Martins shoes in a seven and said they would order them for me.
TWO WEEKS later they called to say the shoes had arrived (I could have had these in 3 days over the web but honoured the order i had placed).

When I called to collect the shoes I was offerred a pair of shoes which had been worn. There was creasing along the leather over the toe cap and the interior was worn.

The shop assistant claimed they had only been tried on, but as I showed her with Dr Martin shoes on display they were clearly more than tried on although the sole was in good condition the upper had been stretched and the inner chaffed.

I refused to buy the shoes and have ordered them online from international shoes with free delivery saving £5.00 and I wish I had done this originally rather than face the wait and dissapointment.

Stead and simpson also seem to have no web presence for me to complain in person and the shop assistant had no compliant procedure to follow or denied teh existance of one.
