"How many different colours can 1 item be!?"

I visited the B&Q store in Sutton, Surrey on 26/6/04 looking for a kitchen door handle to match the existing ones in my kitchen...which were also originally from B&Q. I found one that i quite liked but wanted to check it was exactly the same finish as my others (Matt nickel). The gentleman in the area told me i had to ask on the upper level in the kitchen dept. I found someone up here who then took me back to the handles and informed me that the colour of the one i had chosen was chrome finish. It looked the same as my existing ones so thought i would get a 2nd opinion. The customer service dept. then told me it was brushed nickel finish... then it was aliminium. The final straw was the fact that the tills then called it satin silver... Is it seriously too much to ask for the colour of 1 item to be correct and consistent throughout one store!???

...Homebase here we come!
