"Cambridge useless? Call the national helpline"
A review of Royal Mail - Cambridge Delivery Office by Alex Churchill - Tuesday 29th of June 2004Like the previous 11 reviewers, I repeatedly tried to phone on either 01223 448831 or 01223 448844, never getting answered - very frustrating. However, my call to the national Royal Mail Customer Service line on 08457 740 740 was answered swiftly and competently, and after taking the details of my failed delivery they said they'd send an internal email to the Cambridge office, and that apparently the machines in the Cambridge office can make the phone very hard to hear... But I was able to arrange for my parcel to be delivered to an alternative address via that line, so I recommend people give them a call. And do log a complaint about the unresponsive Cambridge phone lines.
