"Change of name,a difficult task for Lloyds TSB"
A review of Lloyds TSB Bank by Anonymous - Monday 12th of July 2004
After being Widowed for 15 years I decided that I wish to revert back to my maiden name. A simple request which was successfully carried out by DVLA,The Passport Office, Natwest, Barclaycard, Inland Revenue BUT NOT LLOYDS TSB. On presenting my Passport and driving licence to Lloyds TSB in Wallingford Oxon,I was told that this was not sufficent evidence and that I would need written authorisation. Written authorisation from whom - Deed Poll- but it's the same name I was born with and why should I have to go to Deed Poll. After a consultation with the Manager, Customer Services said they has a case like this once before and if I go to Citizens Advice Beauro I can get a form which Lloyds TSB will accept and then I can have my account changed to my maiden name.
Yeah right as if I am going invest any more time on this - I will simply use my Natwest account. Your Loss LLoyds TSB get your act together.
