"Beware"
A review of King Street Cycles by Russ - Thursday 15th of July 2004
I took my bike here to have the bottom bracket changed as it was the only shop that could do the job during the school holidays. I gave the nice man my contact details. He told me to pick the bike up at 10:00 the next morning, and I arrived at that time. About three quarters of an hour later (when I could have done with being at work) he finally arrived to open the shop - the restaurant next door told me this is normal, so not sure why he told me 10. He then told me that he'd been unable to remove the component and that I'd need to take the bike to an engineering firm. He'd not called me to tell me this, or that he wouldn't be there in the morning. Being a bit sceptical, I took the bike to Townsends on Chesterton road, where they very quickly removed the bottom bracket and replaced it without any problems at all. Think I'll be using them in future.
