"Shabby National !"

A review of Abbey National by Anonymous - Tuesday 25th of March 2003

7 WORKING DAYS FOR CHEQUES TO CLEAR! I have just phoned Abbey National to find out when an incoming cheque will clear. I expected them to say something like four working days, but I was told that it is SEVEN working days! As my cheque was paid in on Friday, this means that I will actually have to wait a total of ELEVEN days before being able to get any money out of my account, as it is the only income I am expecting. I will have to beg, borrow or steal some money just so I can eat before next Tuesday!!!
