"Shops lack style"

As a former worker many years ago I recently returned for a visit to my old area East Anglia based out of the old Tooks of Ipswich bakery and was very shocked to see the old Sydney street shop in Cambridge has gone, the one remaining unit there looked like a cheap snack bar the sort you find in a bus/railway station not very nice at all,I think they have lost the class they used to have,and with so many new places to try these days ie Pret,Eat not to mention the coffee bars Costa,nero etc they have fallen some what behind.
I looked in the window at the cambridge shop but was not in the slightest bit tempted in,even for old times sake I wasen't going to eat in there.
