This bank has been around for years. I have had a savings account with them since I was a young boy and my grandparents paid money in every Christmas. They haven’t lost their professional and friendly edge in a cut throat banking world. They offer great rates for savings accounts and, as long as you pay into it regularly, you will see the benefits. I like the service you get from small banks. Small queues and friendly staff.
My son recently set up a business in Cambridge and I encouraged him to go through Woolwich as they can be very helpful. He tells me they dealt with him well and continues to be pleased with his business account handling. He got very good rates for it too. I suppose it is like a family business, you feel part of something rather than just a number.
