It amazes me that there is all this talk about call centres in these review pages. Cambridge Building society are a local bank and deal mostly face to face with customers without problems. There seems to me to be too much emphasis on deadlines and statistics in modern banks. I like to go into my local shopping centre and deal with people.

Cambridge building society do good deals on loans too. I got a consolidation loan at a cheap rate to pay off all my debts. The single payment has made my life much easier. I have had several loans in as many years in order to pay for my son going to college. It is stressful enough finding money when you need it, you donâ€™t need to be hanging on the phone for ages talking to a robot. When you deal with real people you stand a much better chance of building up customer loyalty. I know my bank manager well and he knows my finances well. It is good to know that someone has your best interests at heart.
