I use to live and work in The Burleigh 1990-1992 and it was a Gay Pub and a survivor. Now that has all changed good or Bad? Though the neighbour that lived right next door was an old couple and they tried everything to get The Burleigh closed. If The Burleigh managed to defy the Demolition Squad and several name changes she managed to deft the neighbours moans and complaints about it being SLEAZY!!!! Gawd forbid. A Homophobe one did detect. Hers hoping that in sometime near the future the Old Gal (The Burleigh) returns back to her roots.
