"Nice music, shame about the food."
A review of Stazione Restaurant & Coffee bar by Jeanne - Monday 25th of April 2005
The dinner menu looked quite promising, you could choose to have either two or three courses for an inclusive price, my friend and I both chose the squid in breadcrumbs which was very chewey and as the waiter later pointed out very overcooked. We were offered a dessert menu next but we pointed out that our main courses hadn't arrived yet. My cannelloni and my friends lasagne bore a great resemblance to a supermarket readymeal. The wine prices were,we felt rather high.We ordered a house red and were told that if we paid £2 more we could have something better! We declined pudding and on leaving when asked if we had enjoyed our food were told that we should have ordered from the a la carte as the food was much better! One plus point, the staff are very friendly.
