"One of the two good restaurants In Cambridge!"

A review of Chez Gerard by Gordon - Tuesday 5th of July 2005

No, seriously!

I have tried dining out in Cambridge on many occasions, most of which have been expensive and bitterly dissapointing. Cambridge is full of deplorable restaurants which survive due to the constant influx of tourists and forgein students groomed for a fleecing.

Chez Gerard is a chain and as such employs the same high standards at all it's branches, thank the Lord!

The same applies to the Loch Fyne (the only other decent restaurant in town).

Yes it's expensive, but the food is exquisite and the service second to none. Highly recommended!
