"Maplins - Good value"

A review of Maplin Electronics by Doug Weyman - Saturday 19th of April 2003

I must say that Maplins offer very good value for money. The shop seems to be aimed at more technical peaple - people who like to beuild their own electrical devices, or arent afraid to fix electrical items when they go wrong.

BUT it also sells many items that places like Dixons sell, who seem to be aiming at less technical people.

Comparing prices, Maplin is way cheaper than Dixons right across the board and most of the products are identical and of the same quality.

The staff at Maplins also seem to be much less sales-oriented and more helpful than those at Dixons.
