"Re: Rashid"

A review of The Cambridge Union Society by Tristan written on Thursday 23rd of February 2006

I suspect that Rashid is being wrongheaded when he says that he protested against someone invited to a debate on free speech. Wouldn't he have been better to exercise his brain and take part - which was the purpose of the event - rather than mindlessly "protesting" outside? For what it's worth I think it was a great idea for an event and it was brave to stand up to those who wanted to resolve things using force..
