A review of PC World by Anonymous written on Saturday 11th of November 2006
It seems to me that none of you moaning old people have ever worked in such a stressful and demanding retail environment have you? you have absoluteley no idea whatsoever what it's like for us. We have to constantly deal with all kinds of crap every day, day in day out!
When you have experienced what we experience on the other side of the counter, then you will understand why it is the way it is. People who have no experience of the store's systems, procedures and policies just dismiss us as offering poor service, when in reality, we do everything within our power to sort out whatever issues may arise. For example, a lot of people can't understand why a printer manufacturer will not allow us to do an instant replacement on a product that is over 28 days old and send them back the faulty unit. They kick off when we tell them that if they want a quick replacement, they have to call the manufacturer otherwise we would have to take the unit in and get it replaced at the store's premises(which takes ages, the customer gets priority over the retail outlets). People just don't wanna listen to what they are bing told and stand there shouting 'sales of goods act' crap and "i bought it from you, you are responsible", get a life and make a simple phonecall!!.
