A review of Aldi by PaulJones written on Saturday 9th of December 2006
Hi there
i did not receive my firmware upgrade on the 8th, thinking i had missed it , i tried to do a manual upgrade, and there was none available
i phones up the helpline 08708031702, and was informed
it had been cancled and he didnt know if there
was going to be an upgrade in the near future .
he suggested i look at the DTG ON
http://www.dtg.org.uk/retailer/download_schedule.pl
OR ON WWW.DTG.ORG AND GO TO SITE-MAP and then
look for schedule
ANYWAY that site is responsible for the upgrade
being aired , it gived you information for two
weeks at a time
dont know if iam going to wait , i must admit though
mine has been behaving itself compaired to when i first got it, maybe the longer its on the more reliable it is, my signal strength is about 3/4
on the scale dont know if thas got anything to do with it /
like i say when i first got it , it need re-booting
every 20 mins or so , but since th esunday
i purchased it , its only need switching on/off
via standby on remote -twice ..
maybe you could try leaving yours on for a long time
and se eif it become more reliable?
ps just wrote to the service centre to see if they intend to send a firmware upgrade in the near future
will keep eveyone updated ..c.u.l.
cheers de paul
.
