"HEART BROKEN AND BROKE. What can I say... Im totally gutted."

I worked as a manager for one year and had been with the company for almost two. Despite issues which i had with the company, I absolutely loved my job and gradually worked my way up. It honestly breaks my heart. Id been promising all these customers that they would have their suprise pictures back in time for christmas and now look.... Their christmas is ruined as well as ours. I feel terrible for the customers... Head office might not be so aware of its impact but why should they??? It is us who have the daily contact with customers, we are the people who work late nights, weekends for £5.55 an hour (and no overtime) and recieve no acknowledgement for all our hard work. Shooting a 15 (sometimes a 10) minute schedule is not easy! We are the people who meet the families... bond with children... make them smile and laugh. We capture each and every person who steps into the camera room and it is the pleasure we get from customer satisfaction, which is why we continued to work so hard for such little money. Also the help, support and friendships which we made with other studios across the country. I appologise sincerely to all customers who have lost out this christmas. I actually tried to recover prints from another studio with my friend who worked there as a photographer, but the locks had been changed. We stood in the cold explaining what had happened, appologising for something that has devastated us too. I am owed 5weeks pay, holiday, commission, expenses and most of all an explination. Can you believe the last thing we heard was a recorded message!!! Olan Mills stylie... their very own christmas speach.
