A review of Aldi by Allie written on Thursday 8th of March 2007
I have just returned from shopping at Aldi. I am absolutely wicked. I shop every week spending about £100.00 weekly. Today I went straight from dropping my children at school to purchase a Notebook only to find that only 10 had been delivered to the store and that people who DO NOT shop at Aldi had been waiting from before the store opened to obtain a ticket and then come back when they felt like it to get their notebook. What do people with children do offer them a day of school so they to can queue from the early hours. Following one such person around the store I became more and more annoyed to find out that they have never visited Aldi before and have no intention of visiting Aldi again unless some other offer takes their eye and then they will come to queue again leaving all Aldi regular shoppers without the option of purchasing these special offers. Is it worth more to Aldi to just get this person in for the offers or do they value the regular shoper spending above £5,200. a year + other special offers thay can get.
Could not a loyalty system be installed to prevent such things happening I will seriously consider now
if I shop at Aldi again or perhaps shop somewhere
else. I must say that the staff have been very helpful
telephoning other local branches to see if 1 was available knowing that I do shop every week at the store.
give yourself a pat on the back Aldi for your amazing marketing strategy.
